Now you guys might not know this but Green Day is a trio. Billie Joe Armstrong is singer and lead guitarist, Mike Dirnt as bass guitarist and Tré Cool as drummer. They are a punk/alternative/pop punk rock band and they are extremely talented for a trio. Now they started in 1988 with Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt who played some songs at Billie's mom's work and from there started their career. Later on, Cool heard about them and was interested to join them as drummer of the band in 1993. They won the all eight music awards in 2001 California's Music Awards.
Personally, I think they are pretty good and they are great to listen to since they talk about politics, nations, personal life and many other subjects. They are still on tour and have came out with new songs like "Know Your Enemy" and "21 Guns" that are big hits.
